Description
Bhikkhu Mahinda met with great success in his mission of spreading Dhamma in Sri Lanka. So the women of the royal family also wished to take ordination and become nuns. Therefore, Arahant Mahinda sent for Sanghamitta. By then, her fourth son had received ordination at the age of seven and was engaged in learning Dhamma. So Sanghamitta took ordination and when she was called for from Sri Lanka, went to teach Dhamma.
