This is to Certify that Mr. Satyanarayan Goenka OF Ne. 77, SHWESONTHA STREET, RANGOON has been practising Buddhist Meditation under my guidance from September 1955 to date and that he has made a good study of the fundamentals of the theory of Buddhism. He has also assistedme in the ceaching of Buddha Dhamma, in theory and practice, to nearly two hundred persons of Indian Nationalicy at Rangoon, Mandalay and Maymyo. I consider him to be weit established to teach Buddhist Meditation abroad and I accordingly authorise him to teach Buddhist Meditation on my behalf in accordance with the principles followed by me at the International Meditation Centre at Rangoon, Burma.
