Description
He saw birds of four colors coming from four directions sit on his lap and turn white. This indicated that people of all four classes (Brahmin—priestly class, khattiya—warrior class, vessa—businesspeople and sudda—lower castes) would become his disciples, become monks and nuns and get liberated from the cycle of life and birth. They would be liberated from the bondage of sectarian division and casteism.
