Description
Ambapali was attracted to the Buddha, gave up her livelihood of prostitution and became extremely devoted to the Buddha. When she came to know that he was staying at her mango grove, she went to meet him and sought his acceptance for the next day meal. On her return the Licchavi princes met her. They were also on their way to invite the Buddha but Ambapali had already invited the Buddha. They offered to give her a hundred thousand coins for withdrawing her invitation for meals and giving them the opportunity. But how could she agree?
